My first pure bred dog was given to me by my sister. "Mandy" was a very intelligent Beagle, who passed her obedience training with flying colours. In one test(through the Sutherland Shire Obedience Club, instructed by Steve Austin) she was given 99/100. But, alas, we were not able to compete in trials as she was not registered. Mandy also loved the tracking days out with the Beagle Club of NSW.

When the family moved house, in 1980, I gave my mother an Australian Silky Terrier for Christmas. That was the start of my dog showing days and I was hooked. The little Silky didn't live up to expectations but she lived to the ripe old age of 15 as a much loved and spoilt pet.

In 1986 I purchased my first German Shorthaired Pointer, bred by Betty Kindl. Aust Ch. Birdacre Tornado, "Max"(by the late great Ch. Klugerhund Mein Asher X Ch. Birdacre Velvet Star CD).

Twelve months later "Kali" Aust. Ch. Klugerhund Chardonay(Klugerhund King Arthur(AI) X Ch Gillbrae Moonshine)bred by John and Joan Maxwell, joined the family.

Both dogs gave me loads of pleasure in and out of the show ring, having numerous group wins between them.

Under my previous prefix "Geddarabi" (translated to get da rabbit) Max and Kali produced 10 healthy pups in 1990 in Albury, NSW. Unfortunately, due to personal commitments no puppies were kept from that litter and no further litters were bred.

Moving to Bundaberg, QLD, Max and Kali had a few shows in Queensland but both dogs were getting on and showing stopped for their retirement. Max passed away in his sleep at home in Bundy in 1996. He was a "top dog" and will always be remembered as my protector and buddy. Kali passed away in my arms in 2000, just a few months after my second daughter was born. She was the gentlest,sweetest girl without a bad bone in her. She was my confidant.

I decided to downsize in 2000, when Phoebe was 3 months old, and purchased my first show Beagle. Tamballa Tasheera, bred by Jenny Grey, Brisbane. After campaigning "Tash" I mated her and she produced 7 puppies. The HUNTSURE kennels came into being.

My love of GSPs had'nt dwindled and in 2003 "Brandy" Aust CH Applecreek Brandy Snap (Caedre Micah X Ch Tealpoint Calyp So), came bounding into our lives. She's very typical of the real working GSP, with heaps of enthusiasm and loads of beauty. John and Jann Pattison, her breeders, will be forever in my debt.

In April, 2005 she produced my new best friend, Ozzie, HUNTSURE AUSSIE ICON.

Then in August 2006 a new Huntsure pup came screaming into our lives, welcome to HUNTSURE TOP BILLING ( Aust & NZ CH Beaurien Likapinash(imp NZ) X Aust Ch. Clarion Cruiz To Th Top). "Crikey" has a typical Beagle personality and is loved by all.
